Jason Bateman has just confirmed to me that the creative minds behind Arrested Development (Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard) have put the wheels in motion toward a major motion picture of the Fox TV comedy so many of us adore. I’m told by insiders that Jason and other Bluth family members have received calls from producers (Hurwitz and Howard) asking if they would be willing to shoot a movie.”
I’ve been in love with Jason Bateman since Silver Spoons. We go way back. JayBay would never lie to me.
I can’t tell you how much I miss this show. In a perfect world, it would come back as a weekly TV show – but I’ll take anything I can get. Amazing Boyfriend and I have been watching Seasons 1-3 again on DVD, and it hasn’t lost any of its magic with repeated viewings. I’m a bit obsessed – I would venture a guess that I’ve seen every episode at least 3 times. But each episode is so layered that I catch something new each time. A movie would be pure bliss for me.
Can we collectively cross our fingers and will this to happen? Pretty please?
